Did you experience the Black Friday frenzy over the weekend? I admit – I was so ready to head across the border only to realize that there are amazing deals here in Surrey to begin with. I had the opportunity to participate in the frenzy at Guildford Town Centre (GTC), a shopping experience like no other in the Fraser Valley. This fully enclosed shopping centre features over 200 stores, services and restaurants to choose from such as Hudson’s Bay, Walmart Supercentre, London Drugs, H&M, Forever 21, Old Navy, Sephora and so much more.

With Christmas coming sooner than ever, Black Friday was the perfect time to get holiday gifts at sweet discounts! Check out the unbeatable deals I snagged at GTC over the weekend:

1. Bath & Body Works – Buy 3, get 3 free!
If you want the perfect mix of ingredients for a sophisticated fragrance, Bath & Body Works at GTC is the place to be. You really don’t want to know how many products I purchased with this deal (let’s just say I stocked up enough to last me until next year).

Screen Shot 2015-11-29 at 9.42.49 PM2. Aldo Shoes – 50% off everything!
I’ve always been on the hunt for the perfect block heel boot that will give me style and comfort, especially when winter hits the Fraser Valley. I found these for only $50! They’re so trendy yet sophisticated with cool, retro vibes – they were impossible to resist!IMG_9259

3. Danier Gloves – Up to 40% off!
I may get hated for this, but I’ve never been a fan of mittens. When my hands get super dry from this fall weather and extra warmth is required, a luxurious way for me to complete a great outfit is a pair of leather gloves. My gloves from Michael Kors were wearing out, and I wasn’t prepared to spend over $100 for another. Thank goodness for the Danier Leather in GTC that had these on sale for only $30! I’ll be reaching for this essential all season long. Oh, and it’s not so bad when Starbucks is in the mall too!IMG_9261

4. LEGO – Free gift when you spend $50+
My little brother is a total LEGO fanatic! Here’s the first one going into his huge Christmas stocking.
And may I add – the staff at there are sweethearts. That’s why my little brother never misses a single monthly mini model build event with his fellow LEGO VIP club members at GTC!IMG_9263

5. Le Chateau – Up to 40% off!
In this season of crisp, colorful leaves and steamy cappucinos, it’s easy to keep layering into slouchy bohemian silhouettes. Don’t get me wrong, I love the art of layering, but I love a structured, more refined look. This can be achieved with a simple high waist belt – it accentuates your waist, enhances your curves, and adds a statement piece. I’ve been looking for a belt like this and found the almost exact same one at Le Chateau for only $9.99! Now that’s a steal.FullSizeRender

6. Old Navy – some deals under $5!
With the car parks full to brimming, bargain hunters rubbing shoulders and line-ups for the major stores, I couldn’t wait to head home and wash my favorite deal of the day – cozy, warm socks from Old Navy for less than $5! With a hot cup of cocoa and a bit of reflection over the frenzy, these essentials complete any lazy Sunday funday.IMG_9274

Lastly, think authentic, traditional and fresh Neopolitan pizzeria. Bet Surrey doesn’t come to your mind with that, but that’s exactly what I love about this city! Its strong, multicultural influences lends itself to an extraordinary variety of culinary choices. So when I saw that Famoso Pizzeria was in GTC, I had to make that my mid-shopping lunch stop. Great staff, great food, great atmosphere – the perfect addition to an excellent shopping experience.IMG_9250
