Win a year’s worth of massages to Body & Salt!

shutterstock_145468444Growing up in the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands, I know first hand of the curative powers of the ocean air with its salt particles. From tuberculosis to depression, inhaling beach breeze has been considered a cure-all for nearly any illness in the 18th and 19th centuries.

The same stays true now. Specifically, Himalayan Salt is believed to be the purest salt on Earth. But what if you combined the science behind the healing powers of this deposit together with the go-to stress buster of a massage?

It’s the winter season, and not only are cold and flu germs swirling around us, but we’re all in major holiday frenzy. Whether you’re frantically getting your Christmas shopping done, heading to parties or events, or even lead a busy lifestyle like myself wanting to get those goals achieved before the New Year starts, it’s essential to take time for self-care. You work hard, and you deserve to relax, indulge and help your health.

So with a unique salt room massage designed to suit your busy schedule and healthy lifestyle, Body & Salt by Spa Utopia offers the best 20 minutes of your day to help you treat and love yourself.

My Experience

After being treated to a hot cup of David’s Tea, I was greeted by my non-registered massage therapist. What transpired thereafter was the opportunity to relax, unwind and breathe with a back, neck and shoulder massage, followed by a hand massage session in a unique semi-private space surrounded by salt walls harvested from ancient sea salt deposits in the Himalayan Salt range.

In general, a massage works to stimulate circulation, improve blood flow and restore your sense of well-being. Add that with the unique composition of Himalayan salt and its ability to be absorbed into your bloodstream quickly, and you can imagine the rich, unique experience that rejuvenated me and left me feeling refreshed and energized to continue on with my busy day.

The goal of each 20 minute session held in Body & Salt is to improve your overall well-being including the elimination of waste and toxins, improved blood circulation and reduced stress levels, with the added health benefit of Himalayan Salt at no extra cost.

“This is why this concept works”, states Anne Ive, Manager of Body & Salt located in Guilford Town Centre. “Our semi-private massage rooms out of Himalayan salt bricks are made available to our busy clientele at no additional cost”.

An experience in their salt rooms offer more health benefits including improved lung function and respiratory health; relief from allergies and asthma; reduced snoring; enhanced sport performance; and improves skin conditions such as dermatitis, acne, eczema and psoriasis.

So whether you want to indulge, take a break from the day’s stress, or feel better and faster to get on with your busy day, a chair massage session with Body & Salt will lift your spirits and restore your sense of well-being.
