Two Local Surrey Art Students and the Canadian Alzheimer’s Society Need Your Help

Liam Priddy and Shelby Wilson are two art students born and raised in Surrey. Both have recently graduated from their programs at Nimbus School of Recording Arts and Media and Motion Picture Arts at Capilano University. With Liam being an aspiring musician and Shelby dreaming to become a filmmaker, they decided to join forces to compete in a competition called Storyhive, for a chance to win 10k to make a music video.

Storyhive is a contest ran by Telus that puts on competitions through British Columbia and Alberta to help fund local talent. With Liam and Shelby who grew up together in Surrey and went to high school together at Ecole Panorama Ridge, they want to get as much support from the Surrey community as they can.

Liam has been working BCR Records to produce his first single Silver. Silver is the song that they are pitching to Storyhive to win the 10k film grant to make their music video. They are very excited to share that they are in association with the Canadian Alzheimer’s Society and plan to use the 10k to raise funds for the organization, as well raise awareness with the music video.

The contest is based of a voting process and goes from April 24th all the way to Monday, May 1st. It’s as simple as going to their page on Storyhive and clicking the vote button and casting your votes! Liam and Shelby need votes and support, so feel free to share this around! You can check out their page on Storyhive and see all the information about their project including the song Silver, their pitch video, any many more details about their project that they are creating.
