Hopped up on history with Trading Post’s 150th birthday beer release

Hopped up on history with Trading Post’s 150th birthday beer release

It’s not every day that the Government of Canada partners with a local craft brewery.

Yet Trading Post Brewing and the Fort Langley National Historic site came together in a mix of hops and history to produce the 1867 Pale Ale to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday.

The pale ale, which is as easy drinking as Canadians are nice, was released on Wednesday at an exclusive tasting party. Costumed interpreters were on-site as stakeholders, media and beer lovers sipped on the crisp and balanced, no-nonsense beer.

Don’t worry if you missed it. Fort Langley National Historic Site and lelem’ at the Fort Café will be adding Trading Post’s est.1867 beer to their menu. In time for summer 2017, visitors will be able to enjoy their beer in the birthplace of British Columbia.

Try Trading Post’s special 150th birthday beer at the upcoming Fort Langley Beer + Food Festival, happening on May 20th.
