Confessions of a Creative Mind is the handbook every writer needs

Confessions of a Creative Mind is the handbook every writer needs

The “Guide for Writers to Get Right in the Head” tackles the hardest part of writing:
The ego battles and Monkey Mind chatter of the artist

Ryan Smith is hoping writers and creative-minded people can avoid making the mistakes he has made through his creative journey so far with his debut book, Confessions of a Creative Mind: A Writer’s Guide to Getting Right in the Head. Confessions of a Creative Mind is a two-pronged approach to the warfare of creative writing: Firstly, to come to terms with and overcome the Monkey Mind – the fear, doubt and insecurities that can cripple creative people – and secondly, to present a new way of looking at creativity, story structure and the writing process that lessens the creative burden on the writer and allows for more creativity to flow.

Alisha Sevigny, author of Kissing Frogs and the upcoming Summer Constellations says, “Every writer needs this book – an honest, compelling and insightful look at the creative process and how to stop sabotaging yourself and just write.” Ryan Smith holds a degree in Creative Writing and Journalism, and Confessions of a Creative Mind is the result of his reflections on his own creative journey, which he hopes will free and embolden writers andother creative people to bravely pursue their craft.

Confessions of a Creative Mind is available July 27th on Amazon. Smith will be hosting a Book Launch Party Thursday August 3rd from 6:30-8:30 at Township Winery in Langley, which the media is invited to attend. Smith will also be hosting a book signing at Indigo Grandview Corners in South Surrey August 5th form noon to 2:00
