Fiesta! 2012 Scotiabank Bowl for Big Brothers

This month, the Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver launched Fiesta! 2012 Scotiabank Bowl for Big Brothers. The annual fundraising campaign runs to the end of April.

Proceeds will support the screening and training of volunteer mentors and help to maintain quality relationships between mentors and children.

The values of mentorship and trust are priceless and far – reaching.  Your time and/or pledge will impact a young person’s future in a positive way.  Surrey resident, Rick Johal is a Big Brother volunteer making a difference in the life of his buddy, Cameron. Through the In – School Mentoring and Big Brothers programs, Rick and Cameron have established a valuable friendship.

It’s not too late to sign up your amigos and form a corporate team for Fiesta! I am getting in on the action and collecting pledges myself. You can pledge an individual or team securely online.

Encourage your organizations to come up with creative and fun ideas to generate interest in the cause and promote Big Brothers in your community! Start something.
