Oct 23, 2013Dilawri Automotive Group of Companies formally welcomed guests to the opening of their all new multi-million-dollar 40,000 square foot Porsche Vancouver dealership and Surrey604 was invited!

Porsche Centre Vancouver, located at 688 Terminal Ave, is the only official Porsche dealership in Vancouver.

The Dilawri Automotive Group of Companies is no stranger to this business being a Canada-wide company with over 40 locations.

At a glitzy invite-only VIP grand opening ceremony, worthy of the Porsche brand, Dealer Principal Ajay Dilawri explained how this latest dealership would allow the customer service experience to be elevated to the next level.

Also in attendance were Alexander Pollich, Porsche Canada’s new President and CEO, as well as Bernhard Maier, head of global sales and marketing for Porsche AG, and member of the Board.

Porsche Cars Canada was formed as an independent subsidiary in April 2008 and in the last calendar year, Porsche sold a record 3,003 units in Canada.

“Vancouver is an important and growing part of Canada,” said Mr. Pollich. “This new Porsche Centre certainly has all the elements to successfully support and heighten the brand’s image in this market.”

VIP guests for the evening were treated not only to the cars in the showroom, but also to the culinary delights of Vancouver’s top chefs including Chef Pino Posteraro of Cioppino’s Mediterranean Grill; Chef Hidekazu Tojo of Tojo’s Restaurant; Chef Angus An of Maenam Thai Restaurant; and Chef Thomas Haas of Thomas Haas Chocolates & Patisserie.

To celebrate the official opening ceremony, Porsche Centre Vancouver premiered an original video filmed in and around Vancouver to the evening’s captive audience.

Finally, guests were further wowed by the “50 years of Porsche 911” vehicle display, as the new building’s service department workshop paid homage to a mix of classic and present day 911 models.

“Beautiful sights are synonymous with Vancouver and this new Porsche Centre is another great example,” said Bernard Maier, Porsche AG member of the board, sales and marketing.

“This building is a great foundation to offer an exclusive purchase and ownership experience as well as foster the appreciation for the brand.”
