This day-long Community Expo will take place at City Centre Library. It will feature information booths from a range of religious, spiritual and philosophical groups in Surrey as well as a number of experiential sessions and workshops open to the public. The main program will involve music and an interfaith panel discussion. The aim of this event is to engage a broad cross-section of the community in learning about the plurality of worldviews in Surrey in a safe and non-judgmental setting.
The Progressive Intercultural Services Society is the lead agency, with funding from EmbraceBC’s Interfaith Bridging grant. The community partners for this event are Surrey Libraries, the Global Clergy Association of Canada, and the Surrey Interfaith Council. This event is being done as part of the United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week.
This event will take place all day on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the City Centre Library in Surrey. This varied event will provide an chance to encounter and engage the rich religious and spiritual expressions of your friends and neighbours.
