Joseph Richard Group (JRG) Community Christmas Day

JRG Community Day

OUR COMMUNITY. One day, one lofty goal! It is no secret that the communities in which we operate are near and dear to everyone within our company. As such, we place a great deal of importance on giving back and supporting our communities as best we can.

It goes without saying that we are all very excited about our upcoming JRG COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS DAY. On Sunday, December 15th, all JRG Public houses will serve as community ‘open houses’ from 3pm – 6pm. Our goal within this time and of course throughout the entire Christmas season, is to raise as much money as possible in support of local charities.

We have reached out to every single supplier, trade partner, local businesses, a staff of 450+, and of course to all of you to help accomplish this goal. We are selling tickets for our 3-6pm event for $20. This includes our signature burger and 2 beers, with ALL proceeds from tickets going to charity. In addition, we will have $2 House Lager on tap for you to enjoy while you stay and participate in the activities we will have throughout the day.

You will find local performers providing ambient music and Christmas carols, many games including a dunk tank at some locations(for those that would take enjoyment in seeing our Management team submersed in a tank full of icy water), and a collection of thousands of dollars in generous donations for silent and live auction prizing for every location.

Some of our prizes include: Canucks tickets at EVERY location, Whistler accommodation and trip packages, cruises, spa packages, and hundreds of dollars in various gift certificates from many of our wonderful local businesses. Most baskets have a value of at least $200, some up to $1000, and there are 80 baskets company wide. These prize packages would be a treasure to keep or make absolutely phenomenal gifts. Each location is supporting the Canadian Red Cross efforts towards the enormous tragedy in the Philippines.

Locally we are supporting the following:

Last Chance Animal Rescue Society (Townhall Coquitlam & Micky’s
Public House)

S.H.A.R.E. Society (Townhall Coquitlam & Micky’s Public House)

Access Youth Outreach (formerly Pocomo Youth) (Townhall Coquitlam &
Micky’s Public House)

Langley Child Development Centre (Townhall Langley)

Ishtar House Langley (Townhall Langley)

Pacific Riding for Developing Abilities (Townhall Langley)

Surrey Christmas Bureau (Townhall South Surrey & Edith + Arthur)

Surrey Firefighters Fund (Edith + Arthur)

The Holmberg House (Townhall Abbotsford)

White Rock Children’s Choir (The Hemingway)

Cloverdale Christmas Hamper (The HENRY)

Surrey Food Bank (The HENRY)

I kindly ask every single one of you to allot whatever time you can and spend some time with us on December 15th to raise some much needed funds for those in need and less fortunate. I sincerely thank each and every one of you for your support in this initiative and your ongoing support each and every day. We are so very proud to be a part of your community and are grateful to be able to serve you. Thank you for your time; hope to see you all soon, and we wish every single one of you the best possible holiday season.
