April 18th, Burnaby, BC: The Autism Support Network Society (ASN) will host their third annual fundraiser – An Evening of Blues and Bites – May 30th, 2015 in Burnaby to raise funds for providing autism education, treatment information and support to families in BC.
The event will be held at the beautiful Nikkei Museum and Cultural Centre in Burnaby. Three well-known local chefs will serve local and international cuisine “top chef” style from tasting stations throughout the evening. Wine will be paired with several of the courses. More than 200 guests are expected to attend. Award winning Canadian blues musician HarpDog Brown will play the captivating sounds of blues with his Traveling Blues Show.
The Autism Support Network was established in Surrey in 2009 and is a first point of contact for parents and caregivers who are dealing wtih autism. The charity is parent led and offers support individually and through their popular group meetings, educational presentations and online resources. They produce brochures with information about autism and treatment which are distributed to key locations in the province where parents will be looking for information. They promote best practices and careers in the field of autism treatment and education, and work with stakeholders throughout the province to improve access to and build capacity of quality autism treatment and support.

An Evening of Blues and Bites event raffle will feature over 100 silent auction items including signed sports memorabilia, gift certificates with values up to $250, passes to local attractions, jewelry, art, gift baskets, memberships, lots of craft beer and wine and a variety of other exciting items.
