Tasty Indian Bistro's Sev Puri.

With over 100 menu options – everything from Coconut Chicken Curry, Prawn Sahi Masala, to the delicious Sev Puri, you will be able to feast on traditional vegetarian and meat favourites from all regions of India.

Featured on the new Street Food menu is one of their specialty dishes, the Sev Puri, inspired by the flavours of India.

The Sev Puri’s round and hollow crisp pastries are filled with potatoes, peas, yogurt, tamarind sauce and mouthwatering Indian spices.

The Street Food menu was inspired by childhood memories of Inder Saini, Tasty Indian Bistro’s owner: “As a child, I grew up in a city called Ahmedabad in India. Close to the city, there was a lake called Kankaria Lake … families would come, put their boats into the water and have some of the incredible local street food from the vendors,” he explains.

Saini says the streets of Ahmedabad would get busy at night because the temperatures during the day would often be too hot for comfort, and “those memories helped to inspire [Street Food menu] items, from our family to yours.”

We also can’t forget to mention the heavenly combination of herbs and spices served in Tasty Indian Bistro’s dishes. From cilantro, ginger, turmeric, to a hint of fruit, this traditional Indian menu has something for every type of gourmet craving.

Restaurant’s Design – it’s like entering the Taj Mahal!

As you enter Tasty Indian Bistro you’ll be taken by the stone-carved tables and marble artwork. The restaurant is designed to give customers the feeling of entering the Taj Mahal, a majestic Indian monument and one of the seven wonders of the modern world.

Opening a restaurant was the original dream of Avtar Saini, Inder Saini’s father. In 1999 he opened Tasty Sweets and Restaurant in Surrey, but was unable to fulfill his dream of designing the restaurant with a Taj Mahal flair. After his passing in April 2010, Avtar Saini’s son and son-in-law set out to make Avtar’s dream come true.

As a result, they opened the Tasty Indian Bistro in the summer of 2011 and the restaurant now welcomes countless visitors!

India may be far away, but a tasty tour of its culinary delights waits at your doorstep with a trip to the Tasty Indian Bistro! Visit them soon, and choose from over 100 menu options!
