Cloverdale Twins Battle Cancer via Fundraising

Almost everyone has lost a loved one to cancer. For this reason, we all dread and fear cancer and we all pray for a cure. However, some of us do more than pray…some people go out into the world and raise funds which may then be utilized in order to improve cancer awareness and in order to pay for the often-astronomical costs of cancer research.

This is the case with twin brothers Chris and Jamie Ruscheinski, who have created a charity known as Twins Cancer Fundraising.

Raised in Cloverdale, British Columbia, Canada, these twins lost their beloved mother to breast cancer when they were 20 years old. Since then, they have been raising money to honour her memory. They hope to raise more than $200,000 at this years Gone Country, Here for the cure, which will be used to purchase a new Endoscopic Ultrasound for the BC Cancer Agency. In addition, to the donated equipment, the twins have been offering a “Raise It For Your Cause” pass, money that will go immediately back out into the local community to those who are affected by cancer.

The Gone Country festival will be held at Bill Reid Millenium Amphitheatre Park in Surrey, British Columbia, on the 25th of July, 2015.

This festival is all about enjoying country music in the great outdoors – and every penny of proceeds will be used to fight cancer! Doors will open at two, and please bring two pieces of ID as alcoholic beverages will be available onsite and this is a licensed event (strictly over 19 years of age).

Enjoy performances from Blackjack Billy, Tebey, The Tumblin Dice, Karen Lee batten and more! If you want to support the fight against cancer while you have a great time, this festival is your perfect summer event!
