Amazon India Fashion Week SS18 – Part 3 – RTTV – JJ Valaya, Samant Chauhan

Surrey604 in collaboration with Raasleela Trends TV, brings you the best in fashion and updates on the latest international trends.

In this series, we are bringing complete coverage of Asia’s biggest Fashion Week “India Fashion Week” home to Surrey. More than 100 selected fashion designers participating and more than 50 showcasing on the runway. The crew of Amazon India Fashion Week consists of models, technicians, make-up crew, backstage help, security, volunteers, and more, which sums up to at least 150 people.

Episode 3:

SAMANT CHAUHAN: He is one of the major designers who presented their collection at Bridal Fashion Week Vancouver. This will be the third year he will be returning to our city “Vancouver” at “Bridal Fashion Week Vancouver” 2018.

Samant Chauhan at FDCI presents AIFW SS’18 really stole our hearts with his show! With classy whites as his base, unique contemporary beauty looks and the Parisian music put together a fabulous show that will stay in our memory for a long time. The gorgeous whites romanced with a combination of pastel and bright embroidery. The unibrow beauty look on the models kept the styling understated and pleasant. The gowns not only showcased the highest level of intricate craftsmanship but also featured some inspiring cuts and silhouettes. The hooded numbers were our favourite because we’re obsessed with big hoods! Check out his collection in the pictures to get a taste of how lovely the entire affair was.

JJ VALAYA:

Our show at the FDCI Amazon India Fashion Week in association with Nexa is not our Couture or Bridal show (as would probably have been expected), but instead is a celebration marking JJ Valaya’s completion of a quarter of a century in the wonderful world of style and fashion. We thank all our patrons and supporters for being a part of this beautiful journey and indeed, we now look forward to many even more interesting and exciting initiatives in the years to come.

On this momentous occasion and through this show, we introduce, this season, a line of occasion-wear enembles based on three of our all time favorite inspirations; ones that shall now be known as the CLASSICS OF JJ VALAYA.

— JJ VALAYA

1. GULISTAN | Our gentle homage to nature… A line of sinuous silhouettes… signature prints and antique embroideries interpret a personal favourite of JJ Valaya… Flowers.

2. JAMAVAR | A much celebrated inspiration and a constant fascination of ours, this line works the magic of the Indian paisleys and the intricacies of the jamavar motifs in a modern interpretion.

3. PUNJAB | A humble tribute to our roots, this year’s interpretation stands inspired by the court dressing of the Maharajas of Kapurthala.

These 3 Valaya staples will hereafter co-exist as perennials along with our seasonal collections, both as Couture and as Occasion wear, albeit, with a new twist year after year.
