Conserve, Protect, Love and Sustain at The Fusion Festival in Surrey BC

Conserve, Protect, Love and Sustain at The Fusion Festival in Surrey BC

A phantasmagoric world buffet came to Surrey in the 11th annual Fusion Festival in Holland Park. World music, dance and food rocked the landscape of Holland Park from July 21-22, 2018. I went on day 2 for my first time ever attending the block party, and missed headliners ‘Walk Off The Earth’ but it was still awesome!

Multiple international performances wowed the crowd on the grassy floor of the sunny park, as they cooled off in the misting stations. So many memories were made, including The City of Surrey Orchestra dishing up our anthem with maple syrup sweetness, together with Grammy Award winner Ricky Kej’s band accompanying on flute, violin and drums.

The cute little girl who requested the song ‘Halo’ by Beyonce from DJ Carson Hoy, her eyes glistening as she listened to it.

Buying Bob Marley merchandise from The Jamaica Pavilion.

Eating delicious veggie pakora at The India food pavilion and recycling the paper plate in the sorting bins.

Entering to win Ed Sheeran tickets from these happy folks at the radio station.
