Surrey Resident Competing in Axe Throwing US Open!

Surrey Resident Competing in Axe Throwing US Open!

Local Surrey resident, Tiffany Fatima (23 years old) will be competing in the first ever World Axe Throwing US Open tournament. Professional axe throwing coach and event host with Bad Axe Throwing Surrey, Tiffany has had a lot of time to perfect her axe throwing skills.

Tiffany will be competing against about 50 other axe throwers at The World Axe Throwing US Open Tournament in Chicago August 10-12. While most people might make the assumption that you need to a big burly, bearded dude to be any good at axe throwing, Tiffany challenges those perceptions. At 5 feet two inches and a petit figure Tiffany is proof that it’s not about physique and more about technique.

She’s a full time Campus Coordinator by day and Professional Axe Thrower by night! Tiffany has been working on her axe throwing skills since starting working at Bad Axe Throwing in August of 2017. The World Axe Throwing League was founded early 2017 by Mario Zelaya, founder of the Bad Axe Throwing chain which now has 19 locations. The World Axe Throwing League is the global governing body & league for the sport of urban axe throwing. With the goal of uniting urban axe throwing centers around the world all under one umbrella.

This year’s prizing consists of $500 for third place, $750 for second place, an Axcalibur Trophy Axe for the Trick Shot competition. First place will be crowned with a silvery WATL Champion ring AND a cash prize of $5,000! We’re proud to be cheering local Surrey resident on in this weekend’s festivities!
