Surrey, BC | Canadian rock band Our Lady Peace will headline the City of Surrey’s Canada Day celebration with support from singer-songwriter Bif Naked. The annual event will return on Monday, July 1 at Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre in Cloverdale.
Our Lady Peace is one of the most successful bands in Canadian history. The band has sold over five million albums worldwide, won four JUNO Awards and ten Much Music Video Awards – one of the most Much Music Video Awards ever given to any artist or group. Supporting Our Lady Peace is New Delhi born Bif Naked, who immigrated to Canada at a young age. She has evolved into a multi-platinum International recording artist, bestselling author, and one of the most acclaimed and interesting performers to grace the rock stage.
“Our annual Canada Day is one of Western Canada’s largest celebrations, bringing communities together across the Lower Mainland to experience true Canadian entertainment here in Surrey,” said Mayor Doug McCallum. “This year the City of Surrey is proud to present legendary Canadian performers Our Lady Peace and Bif Naked to our stages. I encourage all residents and visitors in the Lower Mainland to come celebrate our national heritage and community pride at Surrey’s Canada Day celebration.”
Presented by Coast Capital Savings, this year’s free family-friendly event will feature a new Cloverdale Rodeo Zone offering attendees a variety of western-themed activities including country music. Other highlights include amusement rides, food trucks, midway games and interactive activities for all ages.
