It’s February and love is in the air…or is that just the smell of delicious food? When it comes to Valentine’s Day, there are so many places for food options to choose from that it’s hard to decide, so here are just a few that you should check out right here in Surrey.
Old Surrey Restaurant
If you’re looking for a classic way to spend Valentine’s Day with that special someone look no further than recently named one of Canada’s 100 most Romantic Restaurants, the Old Surrey Restaurant. The restaurant was founded in 1975 by Spain native Valentine Aguirre, who brings you classic French dishes made with local ingredients including lamb and veal from the family farm in Chilliwack. This year for Valentine’s Day, dinner is $85 per person, which includes an appetizer, first course, second course and dessert. You will experience classic French dining at its finest and will have many menu options to choose from including Abbotsford Chicken Oscar, breast of chicken stuffed with cream cheese & spinach topped with Dungeness crab and rich béarnaise or Prawns Amoureuse, jumbo prawn’s sautéed with Sambuca and cream, served in a baked puff pastry shell as your main course. Central City Brewing
If you want a little twist to your Valentine’s Day, check out Central City Brewing’s Pro or Anti Valentine Party. The restaurant will be divided into a Pro and Anti Valentine’s Day section. There will be dinner for 2 specials (pro section) and dinner for one specials (anti-section). Pairing craft beer with the best food in town is what Central City Brewers & Distillers does best. If you’re looking for affordable Chinese cuisine, check out Saison located at Surrey Central right beside T&T Market.
