Deepak Chahal Memorial Soccer Tournament Saturday AUGUST 29 North Surrey Community Park, 15898 97a Ave. Soccer was one of Deepak's strongest passions growing up. In order to honor and celebrate the memory of Deepak, we will be hosting a memorial soccer tournament on his birthday, August 29, 2015. A memorial fund has been set up in Deepak's name. Each team will be required to donate in order to play in the tournament. All proceeds from the Deepak Chahal Memorial Fund will be donated to local sports programs in Surrey that support underprivileged youth. Non participants can also donate. You don't have to be a soccer superstar to participate. The tournament is all for fun and a way to get together and celebrate the memory of Deepak. Featuring Shehzad Roy The "Pakistan Festival" showcase the cultural heritage, diversity, geography, music, dress, cuisine, customs and traditions of all corners of Pakistan. The importance of this event goes beyond providing a venue for families to meet and have fun; it provides Pakistani-Canadians with a voice and platform to promote understanding among other communities and faith groups.
