Chris Galbraith, local personal trainer, is putting together a unique fitness course to raise funds for the Peace Arch Hospice Society and he’s calling it the 360STRONG Fitness Challenge.
Why 360STRONG? Well because Chris specializes in a very functional style of exercise that focuses on strength and conditioning for the whole body, hence the 360 degrees in their new logo.
The 360STRONG Fitness Challenge will comprise of 10 challenging stations each made up of a unique combination of exercises. Participants may go through the course individually or in teams of 2, sharing the challenge. There will also be a kids challenge course for children aged 5-12. Children aged 13 and up can participate in the main fitness with parental consent.
Why Peace Arch Hospice Society? Well, the influence came from his wife, Karen, who lost her dad in late 2014. He was diagnosed with cancer the year prior and he rapidly began to decline. He spent just 2 days in the Peace Arch Hospice Society and the experience is one the family will never forget. Karen often shares the story of her dad’s passing and how the immense care and compassion given to families during the end of life stage by all of the staff and volunteers in a hospice setting is so crucial to both the patient and their loved ones and is truly angelic.
This is their 3rd year hosting this event and Chris and his wife Karen welcome you to the 360STRONG Fitness Challenge.
