FortisBC can help you save energy and money while making your home more efficient
If you, or someone you know, are a retiree on a limited pension, on income assistance or struggling to make ends meet, FortisBC’s Energy Conservation Assistance Program (ECAP) can help you save money and energy while making your home more energy efficient, safe and comfortable. Better yet, it’s offered at no-cost to income-qualified* customers.
Participants get a customized home energy evaluation and the installation of energy-saving products such as water-efficient fixtures, LED light bulbs and weatherstripping. Some homes may even qualify for insulation and an ENERGY STAR® fridge and natural gas furnace or a furnace rebate.
FortisBC representatives will be in your community providing more information about the program and they’ll also assist you in completing your application. Visit them at one of these open houses:

Income-qualified customers must have a total household income less than Statistics Canada’s Low Income Cutoff. For example, a household of four people would need to have a combined total income of $61,200 or less from all sources. This includes rental and/or foreign income.
