Event Details

It’s not every day her Majesty the Queen makes an appearance in South Surrey – so be sure to mark your calendar for the ultimate royal bash.

On Sunday, May 19th, Historic Stewart Farm will once again host Royal Victorian Party from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., offering a day of free fun for all ages, featuring live performances, heritage demos, birthday cake and the chance to ‘meet’ and learn more about Queen Victoria.

“Join us in celebrating the life and reign of this extraordinary woman,” said Jerrilin Spence, curator at the site.

“Aside from being one of our biggest events of the year, it also marks the start of the Spring event season here at the farm.”

The uncanny ‘faux’ queen will make a cameo to cut birthday cake (served with hand-churned ice cream) and grace visitors with selfies and royal portraits. Guests can also expect a variety of fun activities for all ages, including:

  • Heritage demonstrations
  • Crafts for the kiddies
  • Lawn games
  • Performances by the Vancouver Morris Men, Tiddley Cove Morris, Little Mountain Step n’ Clog and Brigadoon Highland Dancers.

While on site, make sure to also visit the Queen Bee stand for a bee presentation, grab a bite to eat at the food truck and explore the picturesque, inviting grounds which have ample room for picnicking.

Entrance to this event is free thanks to sponsorship by the Friends of the Surrey Museum and Archives Society.

The Historic Stewart Farm is located at 13723 Crescent Road in South Surrey. Site hours are Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 4pm and Saturday and Sunday 12noon to 4pm. Entrance is free. For more information call 604-592-6956 or visit
