A Very Vintage Christmas

Experience the Holidays Circa 1950 at Museum of Surrey

Surrey, BC –Whether it’s the tinseled trees, Bing Crosby crooning carols or the heartfelt gifts, the 1950s is an era of Christmas nostalgia and memories of times with friends and family.

Museum of Surrey invites visitors of all ages to step back in time on Saturday, Dec. 15 from 1-4 p.m. to experience the ultimate blast to the past–Very Vintage Christmas.

“This free family holiday event with crooner Reid Jamieson, crafts and treats will bring you the joy and warmth of the holiday season,” said Lynn Saffery, Museum of Surrey manager.

“Come join us for fun retro party games, free hot chocolate and cookies, a holiday selfie scavenger hunt, photos with Santa, a vintage decoration making station and more!”

Jamieson will be performing Christmas classics in the lobby at 1 p.m. and the Versatile Entertainers will be performing a Christmas show in the theatre at 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Make sure you also take in the museum’s galleries and exhibits, such as Dinosaurs Unearthed and the TD Explore Zone before the seasonal closure (Dec. 24 to Jan. 28).

Museum of Surrey is located at 17710-56A Ave. Hours of operation are Tuesday to Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m to 5 p.m. Closed Mondays and Statutory Holidays and for maintenance from Dec. 24 to Jan. 28.
