The Women in STEM Project includes a series of workshops and mentorship activities with presentations, resource packages, and workbooks to help inner-city students achieve their academic, professional, and personal goals while promoting STEM careers to young women. ALL PARTICIPANTS CAN REGISTER FOR FREE!

You can attend more than one workshop:

  • Surrey City Hall (Room 2A B) - Engineering & Chemistry
  • Saturday, October 13th at 4:30-6:30 PM
  • Surrey Library (Room 405) - Technology & Mathematics
  • Friday, October 19th at 4:30-6:30 PM
  • Surrey Library (SFU’s TD Community Engagement Room - ROOM 401) - Biology & Medicine
  • Monday, October 22th at 4:30-6:30 PM
  • Career Cafe at Surrey City Hall (Room 1A B)
  • Friday, November 2nd at 4:30-6:30 PM

Women in STEM Fields will be presenting exciting topics while talking about their experiences in post-secondary school and providing insight into their respective fields. The workshop is filled with discussions such as question and answer periods and activities. There will be refreshments for participants and prizes!

On the final Wrap Up day, a career cafe will be held where students can engage with women in professional STEM fields or speak to women in post-secondary school who are pursuing STEM fields. Each registered participant will receive free resources and other items!

We hope you will join us to engage more female youth in pursuing STEM fields. See you then!
