Classically Diamond

June 28th Bobby Bruce is presenting his world-class Neil Diamond tribute in his newest artistic endeavour Classically Diamond at the Chief Sepass Theatre, Fort Langley, BC.

“Bobby Bruce continues to stretch the meaning of tribute band. His much travelled Nearly Neil, an uncanny revisiting of Neil Diamond’s music.” – Tom Harrison, Vancouver Sun

Classically Diamond features BC-born Bobby Bruce playing guitar, accompanied purely by piano and string quartet. Bobby beguiles with his delicious, rich baritone and emotive retelling of Neil Diamond’s classics supported by Monica Pfau on piano, Angela Cavadas on first violin, Renee Cook on second violin, Roger Mangas on viola and Peter Caton on cello.

It was during Bobby Bruce’s annual Nearly Neil DownUnder Tour earlier this year that the startling news broke – musical icon Neil Diamond was cancelling his remaining 50th Anniversary Tour dates and retiring immediately due to his diagnosis with Parkinson’s disease.  Straightaway Bruce’s ticket sales saw an uptick as the devastated Australian fans sought to self-soothe by reconnecting with Diamond’s songbook.

Classically Diamond lays bare a collection of Diamonds most treasured songs. In the hushed bubble created by the stirring string section and piano collaboration, Bobby enthralls with his natural charm and focuses the listener on Diamond’s lyrics via his sumptuous nuanced vocals.

“Bobby Bruce uncannily duplicates the voice. He captures the very essence of his subject, & most of all, he replicates the contagious & infectious charisma that occurred between Diamond & his audiences.” – Danny Gaisin, Ontario Arts Review

A departure from the concert nature of Nearly Neil and the Solitary Band or the sing-along quality of the pub-styled Nearly Neil solo show, Classically Diamond is best-suited to mainstage theatres and classical concert halls. This remarkable performance is in a class of its own, sure to please the most well-heeled and discerning clientele. Come to see the international sensation that still calls B.C. home in his newest, most refined rendition yet.

Tickets to see Bobby Bruce starring in Classically Diamond, presented by Rock. It Boy Entertainment www. at the Chief Sepass Theatre in Langley are available at
