Surrey Relay for Life

We are very excited about this year’s Surrey Relay for Life that is happening at Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre on Saturday, June 16th from 11am- 11pm.  This 12 hour event by the Canadian Cancer Society is inspiring and uplifting as members of our community come together and do laps around the track to symbolize solidarity in our fight against cancer. During the event, we celebrate cancer survivors, pledge to fight back and remember all those who have lost their battle against cancer. To participate in the event, individuals form teams with family members, friends, co-workers, etc. and fundraise prior to the event. On the event day, teams bring tents and there is entertainment, activities and food and it’s turns into an amazing outdoor family festival!

This year, we are making the relay better than ever by adding more Zumba time, facilitating more off-stage activities for kids and adults, and providing better entertainment! The theme of our event this year is ‘Country’ so we encourage all the participants to bring out their cowboy hats and boots!

Visit www.relayforlife.ca/surrey to register online. For any questions or concerns, feel free to contact Sargun Bajaj via phone: 778-227-3898 or via email: sargun.bajaj@bc.cancer.ca
