Surrey604 recently featured a trip we took on a riverboat down the Fraser River courtesy of Paddlewheeler Riverboat Tours. What we didn’t tell you is that we had the option to hop off the boat in Fort Langley and take a bus tour showing off the area. One of the stops along the way was the Fort Wine Co. We dropped in for a tasting!

(Jenny from Fort Wine Company in Langley BC provides us with some tastings.)
Fort Wine Co.’s wines are 100% grape free and are made from local British Columbia fruit: “We make delicious wines that are simply enjoyed by the glass, or paired with fine cheeses and a variety of appetizers and entrees. Fort Wine Co. wines are that secret ingredient to the best Sangria and the best Martini’s you’ve ever tasted!”
The winery was founded in 2001 by tugboat captain and cranberry farmer Wade Bauck. With positive feedback of the first cranberry wine, the varieties expanded to include other local berries such as blueberries and raspberries.
Now with the support of friends and family, the Fort Wine Co. produces 11 different wines while supporting local berry farms and fruit farmers all over British Columbia.
