Hardcore Wrestling Events in Surrey! Extreme Canadian Championship and All Star Wrestling
I recently discovered that Surrey is a very active venue for some pretty spectacular wrestling. Just last week they held the Extreme Canadian Championship (ECCW) PACIFIC CUP 2012 at Bridgeview Hall in Whalley! Check out the promo video:
On March 23, ECCW is hosting another event there, the CHAMBER OF EXTREME Surrey! Tickets are Front Row $18 and General Admission $15. Here are some images from their past events (taken from their Facebook page):
On Friday, March 9 at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds, All Star Wrestling is hosting the return of former WWE Smackdown Star (and son of British Bulldog) Harry “DH” Smith as he teams up with NWA Canadian Champion, Artemis Spencer to take on the Greatness On Demand (Gorgeous Michelle Starr & Disco Fury).
Tickets are $20 Front Row, $15 Rows 2/3 Floor and Rows A, B, C seats 1-15 in Bleachers, $12 Bleachers. Meet the Wrestlers after the show at Rockwell’s Bar & Grill! More info…
The event will also feature Girls Gone Wrestling, and a Steel Cage! I’ve never been to one of these events but it sounds like a lot of fun, and just down the street in my neighborhood!

Flying over Surrey, BC into Vancouver YVR
Returning from a business trip in Orlando, I shot this video as I was flying into Vancouver YVR from Seattle Washington, over Surrey and along the Fraser River you can clearly see the Central City Building, the Port Mann Bridge, Pattullo Bridge, and then into Richmond you can see Queensborough Bridge, Alex Fraser Bridge and Arthur Laing Bridge.

Surrey Offers Parks, Recreation and Culture Opportunities during the BCTF Job Action
The City of Surrey is offering day camps at its facilities in order to provide arts, culture and sport opportunities for students during next week’s BCTF job action.
For your convenience, they have prepared a list of day camps being offered by the City of Surrey on Monday March 5, Tuesday March 6 and Wednesday March 7.

Tong Louie Family YMCA, Surrey
The YMCA is preparing to offer full-day child care on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week to the 877 families in the Lower Mainland that are currently registered in the YMCA’s ongoing before and after school programs.
The YMCA operates before and after school programs in 30 schools and two membership centres across the Lower Mainland (including the Tong Louie Family YMCA).
They are also offering day camp to families on the Sunshine Coast at YMCA Camp Elphinstone in Gibsons. Families can call the YMCA Camp Elphinstone registration office at 604.939.9622.
They are unable to provide care to kids that are not registered in their programs due to licensing and space restrictions.
