A Visit to Browns Social House Surrey Centre

In the mood for a laid-back, casual dining experience on a dreary afternoon? A place where you could enjoy something satisfying and delicious in a friendly, fun environment. Browns Social House — the perfect answer!

Browns Social House in Surrey Centre is a great place to drop in for a quick bite or a leisurely meal. It’s a lively place for a fun date night with your sweetie or a get together with a group of friends.

The menu at this neighbourhood restaurant is varied and interesting with a full range of appetizers, soups, salads and entrees. It can be tough to decide what to order because each dish sounds scrumptious!

I would recommend the Salt & Pepper Dry Ribs as a starter — peppery bites of tender meat that will awaken your appetite. Or, if you are in the mood for more of an Asian fusion flavour, try the Spicy Tuna Roll. You won’t be sorry.

One of my favourite dishes is pizza and Browns has four different types to tempt you — Liberty Tomato & Mozzarella (vegetarian), Biltmore 2.0 (shrimp), Chicken Carbonara and The Italian Job.

The pizzas are a perfect size for one hungry person — order two different kinds and share them half and half with a friend.

On my latest visit to Browns, I had the Liberty Tomato & Mozzarella which features bocconcini cheese, aged parmesan, basil along with tomatoes and mozzarella. Yum! The crust was just right, flavourful and slightly chewy as pizza crust should be. The pizza was mouth-watering, savory with the perfect amount of basil — not too “herby” but a delightful freshness to the salty cheesy and ripe tomatoes.

My lunch companion had the Italian Job pizza which was topped with fennel sausage, pepperoni, bacon, roasted mushrooms, mozzarella and seasoned with oregano. The fennel sausage added a zesty sweetness to the spiciness of the pepperoni and the smoky saltiness of the bacon that elevated the Italian flavours in an unexpected but delicious note. It was fun to share our pizzas, but next time, I want this one all to myself!

While the pizzas are tasty, and I enjoyed them a lot, my favourite dish at Browns is the Tahitian Tuna Salad. My mouth waters just thinking about lemongrass crusted albacore tuna with fresh greens, red peppers, edamame beans dressed with wasabi mayo and a cilantro ginger vinaigrette.

The service at Browns is friendly and professional and the food is delicious. The casual atmosphere of the restaurant has a pleasant neighbourhood feel — comfortable, inviting and warm — it’s a place where you can unwind, relax and enjoy good food and good company.

There is only one thing that I find wrong with Browns Social House — I never have room for dessert!
