Are you looking for fresh, local food throughout the winter season? Stop by the Surrey Urban WINTER Market every second Wednesday, 12pm-4pm starting October 29th at Surrey City Hall!
This year, the Surrey Urban Winter Market will be one of 7 markets operating across the lower mainland and one of 2 weekday markets over the winter months. “The idea of a winter market in Surrey has been a long time coming,” explains Emily Atkinson, Market Manager. “It’s something our customers have definitely asked for and we are so excited to be able to offer them fresh veggies and local food throughout the winter months!” The market will be conveniently located in the atrium of City Hall, just steps away from the Skytrain station and Surrey City Centre Library.
As for what you’ll find at the market, customers will be able to buy local winter crops, meat and crafts along with their favourite prepared foods from the summer season and some tasty additions. The market will also include food trucks just outside City Hall, offering a variety of fresh lunchtime options. Be sure to stop by for some delicious food this winter!
